Children are our future, so every intervention in the life of a child with special needs is demanding and intricate work.

Professionals working with children with special needs must have relevant knowledge and skills and practice individual approach to each child.

We value the expertise of our professionals and help them to remain at the top of knowledge and experience. 

This section introduces schedules and themes of seminars and lectures for educators and professionals engaged in our project.

Seminar Schedule:

                 

A professional from Israel Marina Tredler took part in two business meetings that were held from the 4th to the 8th of April 2014 in Moscow.

On the 5th of April 2014, a seminar for volonteers and madrihims has taken place. The seminar was led by Marina Tredler , a professional from Israel, who has been working in our integrative summer camps.

During the seminar they discussed the questions of intregration with special children, and secrets of involving special children in common process. Also a strategy of preparing families for the camp has been developped.  Click here to see photos


January 21, 2014, the Сenter for Child Development ESTHER held the seminar “Game Playing Education. What is it? Education through Interaction.” The seminar was conducted by presenter Yelena Morzhina, a psychologist at the Therapeutic Pedagogy Center.

 

Seminar Overview

Part One

  1. What is an emotional contact? Responsive perception and focus on children’s needs are the major prerequisites of reliable emotional relations.

  2. The term “psychological safety”. When is it possible to establish and develop an emotional contact with a child and how is it possible to create conditions for psychological safety? Signs of child’s availability for contact.

  3. Development stages of emotional relations.  

Part Two

  1. Define the objectives which any child meets through game playing at each age period.

  2. How to select games adequate to children’s abilities at each age stage?

  3. Overview of playing epochs from 0 to 7 years. A child uses game playing to become familiar with three worlds of relations: with people, with items and with himself. Let us consider how child’s behavior regulation and his/her self-regulation is shaped within such relations.
